Mini Project #1: Earbud Decoden!

So, my mother gave me these ear buds to use with my phone. Of course they're cute on their own because they're pink....
But I thought they could use a little something extra.

Enter these little darlings. I love skulls, I love pink and I love bows. And they have bows. With jewels on them. They were asking to be attached to these ear buds.

I was going to use nail glue, which is my standby for sticking things on cases, but it was a no go. Maybe the curve of the buds combined with the flat backs of the skulls was the problem. Thankfully, there was still an old glue gun buried in the back of a closet.

A wee little bit of glue placed on the back of Miss Skull....

And then I pressed it to the earbud. It's important to wait until the glue is hot enough; then it will start to bond instantly. If it isn't hot enough it will just fall right off.

A little *squish* for a few seconds to make sure it sticks.

Done! Wasn't that easy? Incredibly easy? If the skulls were smaller I would have probably added some crystals too.

You'd think the skulls being a bit on the large side would be a pain, right? Wrong! It actually makes it easier to grip the ear buds and adjust them into your ears. Cute, weird, easy to make, AND functional. I'm smarter than I thought! :)

So cute. I love my new customized ear buds.

Completely unrelated...here's a better shot of my nails that I painted last night. I have gotten a ton of compliments on them!
Posts like this make me realize I need to use an actual camera to take shots. Or at least do these during the day when it's brighter out. Well, that's what happens when you work evening shifts.
